Just Dance: Decades of Hits Codes: Download & Rewards

What Are Just Dance: Decades of Hits Codes?

Ready to turn a boxed purchase into a dance party? Just Dance: Decades of Hits codes include the download code packaged with the Nintendo Switch code-in-box edition, making redemption part of getting your game ready. If you’re searching for Just Dance: Decades of Hits codes to get rewards, start by separating game access from Limited Edition cosmetics and Adventure Mode unlocks.

The Nintendo Switch code-in-box release contains a digital download code instead of a game card. That code gives you access to your purchased game. The Limited Edition adds the 2000s Digital Cosmetic Pack, while Adventure Mode offers exclusive rewards through gameplay.

Those are different routes to different kinds of content. Use this breakdown to identify what you’re looking for before you buy an edition or start hunting for an unlock.

Content	How you get it	What it provides
Nintendo Switch download code	Purchase the code-in-box edition	Digital access to the game
2000s Digital Cosmetic Pack	Purchase the Limited Edition	Cosmetics inspired by the early 2000s
Adventure Mode rewards	Play the decade-themed adventure	Exclusive rewards
Additional Just Dance+ songs	Access the subscription service	Songs beyond the purchased pack

Keep your search focused on the content you actually want. For the game itself, check the platform and purchase format. For retro customization, look at the Limited Edition. For rewards you can earn while dancing, head into Adventure Mode.

The game brings together music from the 1970s through the 2020s, so there’s plenty to explore after you get access. Its 35-song selection includes familiar tracks such as “Mamma Mia,” “Wannabe,” and “Bye Bye Bye,” alongside newer music.

Download Codes and Getting Your Game Ready

The key detail for Nintendo Switch buyers is simple: code-in-box means a download code, with no physical game card included. You’re buying digital access packaged in a retail box.

That distinction matters when you’re choosing a gift, opening your purchase, or comparing editions. Check the product’s platform and format before checkout, especially if you specifically want something to insert into your console.

Nintendo Switch code redemption requires an internet connection, a Nintendo Account, and a Ubisoft Account. Get those ready before settling in for your first session.

Check the Platform and Release Date

The initial release and the dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 edition have separate launch dates. Keep that distinction in mind when choosing which version to purchase.

Platform or edition	Release date	Purchase or compatibility detail
Nintendo Switch	October 13, 2026	A code-in-box version is available
PlayStation 5	October 13, 2026	Uses the Just Dance Controller smartphone app for motion tracking
Xbox Series X|S	October 13, 2026	Uses the Just Dance Controller smartphone app for motion tracking
Nintendo Switch 2 Edition	November 10, 2026	Nintendo Switch buyers can upgrade at no additional cost starting this date

The Nintendo Switch version is compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. Its no-cost upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition becomes available through Nintendo eShop beginning November 10, 2026, with a persistent internet connection, Nintendo Account, and Ubisoft Account required.

Before your first dance session:

• Check that your purchase matches the platform you intend to use.
• Read the package’s redemption instructions.
• Prepare the accounts and internet connection required for the Nintendo Switch code.
• On PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, get the free Just Dance Controller app ready on your smartphone.

Plan time for setup before inviting everyone onto the dance floor. Account preparation and motion tracking are part of getting started, just as choosing the opening song is.

Limited Edition Bonuses and Cosmetic Rewards

If your interest in Just Dance: Decades of Hits codes is really about bonus items, pay attention to the edition name. The Limited Edition includes the 2000s Digital Cosmetic Pack, with customization inspired by the early 2000s.

The pack includes items for your Dancer Card and Scoring Effects, plus additional digital cosmetic content. These bonuses let you bring the game’s decade theme into your presentation as well as your music choices.

Reward or feature	Access route	Content
2000s Digital Cosmetic Pack	Limited Edition	Early-2000s-inspired customization
Dancer Card cosmetics	Included in the cosmetic pack	Themed Dancer Card customization
Scoring Effects	Included in the cosmetic pack	Themed scoring visuals
Exclusive adventure rewards	Adventure Mode	Rewards earned during the adventure

Check for “Limited Edition” when comparing purchases if those cosmetics are part of what you want. A code-in-box label describes the delivery format; the Limited Edition label describes the edition and its bonus content.

Keep those labels separate when shopping. A digital download code gets you into the purchased game, while the cosmetic pack adds its own customization content.

Once you’re playing, explore the Dancer Card and Scoring Effects customization included with your edition. Pair the early-2000s theme with a throwback playlist if you want your session to lean into that era.

“Bye Bye Bye” by *NSYNC and “Feel Good Inc.” by Gorillaz are among the tracks you can build around. Use the song choices to shape the mood of the session, then explore the cosmetic items included with your purchase.

Adventure Mode provides another reward route, so keep it on your list even if you already have the Limited Edition bonus.

Earn Rewards Through Adventure Mode

Adventure Mode gives you something to work toward beyond selecting individual songs. You join Lyra on a journey through time, exploring six decade-inspired worlds while helping rescue Dr. Gigavolt.

The adventure combines dancing with activities and exclusive rewards. Each world draws on a different musical era, connecting the game’s decade theme to its settings and soundtrack.

If you came looking for Just Dance: Decades of Hits codes because you wanted unlockable extras, start this mode after getting your purchased game ready. It offers rewards through play and gives your sessions a story to follow.

Dance through the songs and take part in the activities as you explore each world. The adventure also includes trivia that breaks up the routines and introduces details about the decade you’re visiting.

Choose a Mode for Your Session

Adventure Mode, Party Mode, and Workout Mode give you different ways to spend time with the game.

Mode	What it includes
Adventure Mode	Six themed worlds, a story with Lyra, activities, and exclusive rewards
Party Mode	Dance sessions with unexpected twists
Workout Mode	A mode focused on getting active

Choose Adventure Mode when you want to explore the story and its reward opportunities. Switch to Party Mode for its changing dance experience, or open Workout Mode when your goal is to get moving.

For group play, the game supports up to six local players. Gather your group and choose between exploring the decades together or jumping into a party session.

Keep the focus on learning the routines while you play. Follow the on-screen dancer and use the scrolling movement indicators to anticipate what comes next. Matching the choreography and timing is how you score points.

If a routine feels awkward at first, keep dancing through it. Songs continue even when your performance is poor, giving you time to practice the remaining moves. Repeat a familiar track to work on the sections that gave you trouble.

Song Access, Just Dance+, and Launch Events

Redeeming your game purchase gets you access to a collection of 35 songs spanning six decades. The selection moves from older favorites to contemporary tracks, giving a mixed-age group plenty of recognizable music to choose from.

These featured songs show the range of the decade theme:

Decade	Featured song	Artist
1970s	Mamma Mia	ABBA
1980s	It's Tricky	Run DMC
1990s	Wannabe	The Spice Girls
2000s	Bye Bye Bye	*NSYNC
2010s	Turn Down for What	DJ Snake & Lil Jon
2020s	NUEVAYoL	Bad Bunny

Build a playlist around a favorite era, or mix decades to give everyone a turn choosing something familiar. You can create playlists and use existing curated playlists for sessions with several songs in a row.

When browsing, remember that the song library also displays content available through other purchases. Check which game pack or service a track belongs to before choosing additional content.

Just Dance+ provides access to additional songs through a streaming subscription. It requires a Ubisoft Account, console account, persistent internet access, and the applicable payment or subscription fee. Age and territorial restrictions also apply.

When searching for Just Dance: Decades of Hits codes, distinguish a game download code from subscription access. They serve different purposes: one activates your purchase, while the other expands your song options through the service.

For launch-related rewards, Just Dance Now has a special playlist celebrating Decades of Hits. Completing that event playlist offers limited-time rewards within Just Dance Now. Keep the game name in mind when following the event so you’re playing in the right experience.

Use the official Just Dance website to explore game information and launch news. For your next session, choose a clear goal: activate your purchase, explore your Limited Edition cosmetics, play Adventure Mode, or take part in the Just Dance Now celebration.
